Volunteer on daily "crane walk"

Considerations Before Applying

The focus of the Volunteer Program is to assist the staff in the avian breeding and research programs conducted at Sylvan Heights. As such, it is imperative that you have an interest in working with animals, especially birds. You must be willing to work hard, follow rules and instructions, and represent Sylvan Heights in a becoming manner.

The Director reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer from the program or the property if their conduct is deemed inappropriate for a representative of the Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Center. Animal abuse is never tolerated and is cause for immediate dismissal.

Space may be limited at certain times and the Director shall have the final authority with respect to selection of applicants for the program. You are expected to arrange your own transportation to and from the Center.
